Interrelations of religion, the paranormal and science
1. Specific paranormal believes might be rejected by organized religions.
2. Most religions are paranormal in nature
3. a) Religious and paranormal thoughts oppose contemporary scientific orientations and vice versa.
3. b) Religious and paranormal thoughts “have much more in common with one another than either does with contemporary scientific orientation” (Goode p.181).
While there is a strong divider between science and the paranormal or religious, the paranormal and religious have similarities and overlaps.
