One
form of tertiary deviance is the organization in deviant
advocacy groups
· Deviant advocacy groups
provide critical information for the identification and the acceptance of a
label.
· The group
provides self esteem to people who identify themselves with the interest of
the group.
· An additional source of self esteem is provided by the differentiation between ingroup and outgroup.

(B) Acquired or ascribed form of deviance, and

Goffman's (1959)
differentiation of discreditable and discredited forms of deviance.
