Some central paper grading
criteria
Main criteria for grading the
preliminary paper:
- Grade A: There is a clear
unique argument debated with social psychological reasoning and supported in
the literature. Good basis for improvements in the final version.
- Grade B: Social
psychological arguments were clearly used to structure the paper and to
investigate the topic. While this is a good basis for improvements in the
final version, a unique argument should be further supported.
- Grade C: The paper lacks the
structure to produce a clear social psychological agenda. For the final
version, a unique argument should be developed and more evidence collected
for the argument. It is important to develop a structure that helps to
academically convince the reader of the argument.
- Grade D: The paper fails to
produce a clear social psychological argument. This can be caused by the
student not considering the material we learned or by inconclusive if not
contradictory arguments. For the final version consultation with the
instructor and a complete rewrite could be helpful.
The grading of the final paper will be largely based on a)
addressing my point of critique on the preliminary paper, and b) the overall
improvement that followed your own initiative.
