These events were suggested to me as qualifying cultural events:
Enclosed in this email are the titles and dates of plays at the University
Theatre. In the fall, we have two plays in the mainstage theatre and two
in the Lab Theatre, both located in the Maedgen Theatre building, 18th St.
between Boston and Flint. Your students could use any of these plays as
their cultural events requiremtent. Students may attend any of these plays
FOR FREE by signing up for "Student Rush," 1 hour before curtain time.
Curtain time is 8 pm, except Sundays at 2 pm. The student-rushees then
take any empty seats at curtain time. Also, we have "Sneak-Peek"
performances of the mainstage shows, with dates listed below. This is a
final dress rehearsal reserved solely for students, free of charge, with a
Tech ID card. Each student may bring one guest for $5. Note that
Sneak-Peeks are ONLY for the mainstage plays, not for Lab Theatre
productions. Students who wish to BUY reserved seats are awarded reduced
ticket prices. The mainstage seats 400 and the Lab seats 100.

The Fourth Annual RAIDER RED'S ONE-ACT PLAY SPECTACULAR
March 26 - April 1, 2001
Designed as a forum to help develop new scripts, the festival enables
audiences to see works by budding playwrights. All original plays are
written, directed, designed, produced, and performed by university students.
GENERAL THEATRE INFORMATION
BACKGROUND:
Since launching its first production in the 1920s, the Texas Tech
University Theatre has emerged as Lubbock's most enduring theatre
tradition. For 75 years, the Theatre has enlightened, educated, and
entertained the university and West Texas communities by providing a wealth
of theatrical productions--ranging from well-known classics to new,
ground-breaking works.
Each year, the Texas Tech University Theatre presents three seasons of
productions on the two stages of the newly-renamed Charles E. Maedgen, Jr.
Theatre: 1) four faculty-directed plays and one faculty-directed dance
production on the Mainstage; (2) four student-directed plays on the Lab
Theatre stage; and (3) three or four student-directed Summer Repertory
plays in the Lab Theatre.
LOCATION: The Maedgen Theatre and Box Office are located on 18th between
Boston and Flint on the Texas Tech University campus.

STUDENT TICKET SPECIALS:
