Baseball Almanac is a rich site worth visiting and supporting. It includes, stats, poetry and song, and information on a host of subjects. One feature is a Today in Baseball History section

The Virtual Hall of Fame Gallery currently down in a dispute offers a view of the plaques of the Hall of Famers through 2001. It is not as good as your own tour in Cooperstown, but a nice substitute with links if you are far away.

The Baseball Archive offers an online encyclopedia for stats and a variety of 
material of the games present and past. 
The Baseball Guru offers a wide variety of  material and links on topics ranger from 
players and and history to the minor leagues and baseball in Japan.
Mudville Magazine offers articles and opinion.

If you are interested in baseball cards, check out the gallery offered by Online Baseball Cards and  the Library of Congress exhibition on Baseball Cards from, 1870 to 1914.

Devotees of old baseball parks will find much interesting information at Ballparks.com by Munsey and Suppes.

Rick Harris offers a site on Rhode Island Baseball History from 1827-1960.
