Innovative Teaching:

Professor Joseph E. King and I have developed and taught (both as a team and individually) History 3339 "The History of Baseball: A Mirror on Life." This course has been the subject of interviews and mention by newspapers such as The New York Times, The Kansas City Times, The Dallas Morning News, San Antonio Light, Amarillo Globe, University Daily, and the Lubbock Avalanche Journal, by radio and television stations including WBBM, Chicago, KVIL Seattle, KJAX, Slaton Texas, KSEL, Lubbock, Texas, as well as the Kansas State Educational Radio Network, the Cable News Network, and CBS Morning News, and by Americana Magazine (May, 1986) and The Texas Techsan and USA Today (April, 5, 1990).

History 3333 (American History Through Film) Honors

History 3330 (Vietnam War) taught the first course and the first Honors section at Texas Tech.

Offered the first Texas Tech History courses using Microsoft Power Point, First Summer, 1997.

Twenty five hours of training in applying various computer technology to the classroom from TLTC, 1997.
