THE PROF
Dr. Jim Harper is Associate Professor Emeritus of History at Texas Tech University. He received his Ph. D. from the University of Virginia and is a United States historian specializing in the history of American Sport . His recent research "The Pastime's Past: Images of Baseball History on the Internet," received honorable mention for the best presentation at the annual meeting of the Society of American Baseball Research in Phoenix, Arizona in June 1999. Dr. Harper retired in August, 2002 and now lives within sight of the beautiful Ballpark in Arlington.
